In Our Treachery We Trust emerged out of both passion and rage. Passion for flora and fauna that evoke the holding of multiple meanings and emotions. The marigold is a symbol of peace, and the sun, a celebratory flower used in honoring life, unity and death around the globe. The raven is a a symbol the evokes love, fear, collaboration, rage. A treachery is a group of ravens, and the artist believes this is a compelling way to think about community in our current political climate. Black birds and floral motifs are common across tattooing styles.
