Full Circle: The First Revolution

Marking a triumphant year of fostering artistic growth and vibrant community ties, Mosaic Art Collective is elated to announce its one-year anniversary exhibition entitled, “Full Circle: The First Revolution.” Just as our Earth undertakes its yearly journey around the sun, the collective and its artists, too, have come full circle, culminating a year of enriched creativity and collaboration.

“Full Circle” is more than just a theme; it’s a reflection of our shared voyage, encapsulating the ebbs and flows, the inspirations, and expressions of our year together. As we commemorate this pivotal milestone, both seasoned and budding artists are warmly invited to participate in this second annual juried show, echoing the essence of the cyclical year in their creations.

Join our anniversary festivity, honoring the indomitable spirit of art and community:

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND RECEPTION: Saturday, September 16, 2023, 4-8 PM

New Hampshire artist Aaron Kane (IAD at NEC grad 2017) will be exhibiting a show entitled In the Dark, located in Mosaic’s Nook Gallery. Kane’s hand cut paper work explores themes surrounding loneliness, comfort and the unknown. This exploration is focused primarily in the negative spaces left within the paper through small dots, and on what is left as positive space; relating to how we are left alone within the dark in our innermost thoughts.

Live entertainment will be provided by Mountain Man Handpan. Founded in 2018 by Michael Lindskog with the desire to bring forth, in a piece of functional steel art, the marriage of melody and percussion. The handpan as we know it was created in Bern, Switzerland in the year 2000. A company called PANArt created the Hang® which was a new expression of tuned steel that can be played in the lap with one’s hands. We look to honor the inventor’s intention by remembering the history and sharing the mesmerizing sounds these instruments hold.

EXHIBITION DATES: September 8 – 27, 2023

As we celebrate the completion of one artistic revolution and the commencement of another, Mosaic Art Collective extends a heartfelt invitation to all. Join us as we step into the next chapter of our intertwined artistic narrative.

Location: 66 Hanover Street, Suite 201, Manchester NH

October 2023 Art Call

Nevermore Art Call Poster

Once upon a midnight dreary, as darkness falls and the veil between the living and the dead draws thin, the Mosaic Art Collective beckons artists to delve deep into their darkest imaginings. Across centuries, artists have danced with the dark arts, intertwining beauty with foreboding. This October, we beckon you to journey with us into realms of the macabre, occult, surreal, and profoundly bizarre. In a fitting tribute to the month of haunts, our exhibition unfurls its dark wings on the evening of Friday the 13th, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

Submissions are now open! We eagerly await your creative contributions. The submission deadline is Friday, September 22, 2023, 11:59 PM.
