When we first met, we found ourselves exchanging the stories behind our tattoos: the ones we regretted, our favorites, the most sentimental, and even the ones that hurt the worst. Through those conversations, we began to understand each other through the memories and meanings carried in our ink. This piece brings together symbols and elements that represent us, drawing from the stories our bodies carry and the traces people leave behind in one another. Just like our tattoos, this connection left a lasting impression on me, and I’m grateful for the person I am now because of it.
