Shaping Ourselves
A metaphorical self-portrait about longing for a fuller, more meaningful, and more vivid life shaped by wonder, travel, food, art, and childhood imagination. The folk-inspired tiger hat symbolizes the protection of that imagination, while the tanghulu represents sweetness, fragility, and desire. The figure is of youth who has not yet began the life they desire to live. Together, these elements reflect my longing to preserve and achieve my dreams and hopefulness for beauty, adventure, and a fuller life that reaches toward possibility.
