My grandparents, Yvonne and Henry, grew up in Manchester, NH. They met, fell in love, and married there October 12, 1925. I didn’t know these “city folk” as the couple I knew and loved wore overalls and an apron and lived on a farm in NH. But pictures of their wedding on October 12, 1925 truly romanticized them and called me to draw them as memory and reflection of their time in the big city. Prints of this artwork has spread far and wide among their large French-Canadian family tree.
