Reflections 180 Years of Manchester NH
Warp Speed Components speak. I happen across elements and often see their future shine. This salvaged heddle from Manchester’s historic textile mills controlled more than the warp threads slipping through its eyes. With it came industry, pride, steady income, family, community and tradition. Creativity, recycling and reserving was necessity, way of life. These buttons, scraps and threads have been in my family for generations. Historically your quilts and braided rugs contained the fabric scraps that sparked the memories of a loved one. Warp Speed is a tribute to my ancestors and yours. I chose to listen to the Merrimack River in this piece.
