I Want Sin

By Jonathan Pereira

Medium
Collage on Paper

This piece is apart of the body of work I began creating during one of my final classes in college, Dystopian Literature. It is inspired by an excerpt from Aldois Huxley’s novel “Brave New World” originally published in 1932. “But I don’t want comfort. I want God. I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.” - John The Savage This piece borrows illustrations from “Classics Illustrated Special #167A Prehistoric World” and a lithograph and text from The Art Amateur magazine.
