Fariy Rings

Artwork Details

Description

In folklore, fairy rings are mysterious, circular mushroom growth patterns. Before we knew why these growth patterns occurred, older traditions considered it bad luck to step into or disturb the ring. Doing so could greatly offend the fairies, potentially leading to harmful outcomes. This piece explores that idea by showcasing the rings and the forest, presenting them with ambiguity and mystery. The viewer is placed outside of the rings, looking at the small eyes in the trees contemplating their next step.
