Reliquary

Artwork Details

Description

Inspired by a line this line of poetry, "for they are the bones of the temple you sit in now" I made another reliquary to honor a past version of me. The sculpture is made from cardboard, wall plaster, paint and beer cans. Each alcove in the piece is roughly based on Scandinavian folk art representing the four seasons in the year. This sculpture does not hang on the wall and would need to be on a riser instead. *This piece is missing some painted details for the submission but would be completed if accepted into the show.
