Description

This painting became an exploration of comfort found in stillness. I was especially drawn to the luminous edges of the petals — how they seemed to glow against the darkness like whispered fragments of light. The peony petals fragility perfectly embodies the space that follows the confession of one’s innermost thoughts — like a deep, slow exhale. It continues my exploration of beauty being less about perfection and more about presence, and how certain objects can hold space for us to return to for peace, reflection and inspiration.
