Description

Preening (the feather crown) explores fashion as a form of personal theater—the daily ritual of putting on a costume to convey a character, a mood, or a presence to the world. Just like birds meticulously grooming and setting every plume in place, we dedicate endless time and quiet patience to perfecting our appearance before stepping out. This piece is made from wire, glass beads, raffia, and scrap material - balancing dramatic, over-the-top flair with a wearable beauty designed to capture attention and command the room. It stands as a whimsical celebration of vanity, transformation, and self-expression—because, as a few wise friends have reminded me, you can truly never have too many crowns. Note: height includes hat stand, Crown itself is 5 inches tall.
