Multi media sculpture made from a found rusty propane tank someone used as a shooting target with jagged sharp edges and devastating gashes... I wanted to convey the anatomy of healing in this piece by netting hand crocheted doily tissue between the sharp and disjointed metal... Like fragile, delicate bridges yet strong enough to rejoin, what was broken...I cut myself plenty of times in the process... The stand came from my baby hammock 14 years ago... It holds the piece perfectly... Inside the vessel burns a "fire", the light within ever present even in the most grueling of wounds with life's persistence on overcoming whatever caused injury...
