I was drawn to this scene of Mother and Child engaged with one another in the simple activity of walking up steps (Image #1) and skipping along (image #2, here). Their bond was palpable. They exuded happiness, and true contentment in each others presence. Through color, light, and framing, I worked to keep the background uncluttered and the atmosphere other-worldly, in order for the emotions present in the scene to come to the fore unencumbered.
