Description

I used encaustic wax (hot wax) layered on a watercolor background. I then added the trees as a transfer. I wrote the words at a very hard time in my life, when my partner was terribly ill and my life was in turmoil. I wanted to create something that could steady me and then be able to look back and remember how difficult the time was. The poem is hand lettered on unryu paper and suspended between sheets of acrylic.
