"Garden" is a reflection of the growth and death residing in small spaces. The organic shapes and scents of rose and beeswax are designed to draw the viewer in for further inspection. All of the elements in the piece come from my own garden - the rose buds were handpicked by me and dried; the wood spire from a fallen tree I've been reducing over the past decade; the wax comb from an older colony of our honeybees; and the bee a natural death presented in my flowers.
