This piece is a reference to the movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. The house is a miniature of the house Joel and Clementine break into on Montauk, resting on the bed and sheets of Joel’s bed. This is a representation of the way that love has the potential to guide, change, and hurt us. Our memories will alter our perception of events and people and our love can override it all.
Artist Statement:
My work is an exploration of value and how it is created, expressed, and understood.The meaning many of the mundane objects in our lives is neglected for more apparent ideas of significance. I intend to present these objects and subjects to reveal their value and the way that they shape our experiences, our past, present, and future.
