This linocut print is made in the style of really old fashioned European paintings. If you look closely at the print, you can see the woman wears a sword around her waist and is holding a spear. She’s ready for battles of the heart and more! Print is made with oil-based ink on Japanese paper.
Artist Statement:
I make linocut prints because my brain defaults to black and white thinking. While I realize this is not ideal in most life situations, it is ideal for this kind of art! I’m a teacher working in Manchester and living in Concord. Can be found in the woods or petting cats when not at work.
