Artist Statement:
Badass Author, Award-Winning Writer, National Healthcare Advocate, and invited speaker to the United States Capital. A retired NREMT-I (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate) who developed rare conditions, (CRPS) Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Small Fiber Neuropathy, and Tamoxifen Retinopathy after breast cancer.
Channeling my life into my creations. I often use it to transport me away from my symptoms. I use my platform to speak out for access to better medical care for all; while raising awareness for rare diseases. Having lymphedema in my dominant arm, hand, and fingers while also having extreme loss of small nerve fibers in my entire being, the world feels different. What I feel and experience comes from a place full of neuro electrocutions and oddities, coupled with a distorted vision my work is an extension of the essence of my being.
