I discovered this little serene backwater to my city’s water supply less than 2 miles from my house! Was enchanted by the play of light & shadows and the reflections of sky, clouds and trees on the still waters. Was inspired by reading about Monet and how he cultivated his ponds at Giverny with water lilies just for the joy of it. Only later did it occur to him to paint them… which begs: What are you doing just for enjoyment & beauty today?!

I am a colorist pastel artist who lives and works in Manchester, NH. Drawing upon a varied background in fitness, musical theater, and mathematics, these skills translate readily to create captivating compositions that practically sing. My work is often mistaken for oils or even photography, as I I delve deeply to refine the tiniest detail, blurring the lines of expectation in a pastel painting. My portfolio is filled with portraits, florals and sea, land, & skyscapes in a style I call idealized realism.
