Artist Statement:
I am a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, sculpture, and installation; I craft fine art jewelry and paint women wearing it. My work centers around the idea of reclaiming feminist archetypes from historical and mythological references while making unwearable jewelry, or rather, jewelry that would be painful or difficult to wear.
The paintings are fused with folklore, myth, and divination through dreams and tarot cards; they combine past and present, real, and imagined, intuition and planning. My work is often created with historical and mythical figures in mind. Sometimes the paintings are inspired by the woman model.
