Though, at first glace, one might assume this piece is heterosexual in nature. I would argue this piece possesses a lot of gay sensibilities with the high class dame straight out of glamourous film, or the pink walls and gold leaf. Plus, she has a nude painting of a man behind her. Oh, the scandal.

Medium: Watercolor / Pen & Ink
Dimensions: 9×12″
Artist Statement:
Art for me has always been an impromptu invitation to creative escapism. Oftentimes my mind will wander rather eagerly into the realm of homoerotic fantasy. In such an unbridled space, I was inspired to create winsome fellows in an assortment of whimsical situations. The depicted homoerotic figures show no care or concern about worldly condemnation and judgement, but instead enjoy uninhibited freedom and leisure. I convey all of this imagery through the subtly of the line and my choice of pallet with watercolor to set a dreamlike mood. Do venture forth, and enjoy the male figure presented before you. May they inspire a moment of intrigue.
