Artist Statement:
I am a mixed media collage artist that predominately works with antique magazines and manuals dating between 1940-1990 in order to reconstruct a unique representation of both my internal and external environment and its past. Unexposed to classical art forms growing up in a stifling home, I used what I had access to – and with scissors and glue, form something new. Paper dismembered and pieced back together again, I give a glimpse into my unconscious mind while simultaneously holding a mirror up to the world around us.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Currently located in Oakland, California.
