Description

Using upcycled and discarded countertop Corian from a sink cut-out, I etched a scene of a harbor using traditional scrimshaw techniques.. (Sailmaker needle on a scriber, carbon transfer of drawing and acrylic inks) The frame is created from upcycled chestnut wood from an upright piano that was headed to the burn pile/ landfill. The project would fit nicely as a fireplace mantle frontpiece.
